About Janet

Janet Helm, M.A., M.B.A.

The artist is a retired university administrator who was raised in an artistically rich home. Dad was a professional musician, Uncle was an artist, and Aunt a Journalist. Mom was an avid outdoor person and nature lover. Growing up in Southern California was diverse in cultural influences and fostered openness of expression.

Janet’s artistic talent gained attention early on in schools and she went on to study and create art in university.

Here are the colleges where she obtained her training in the arts:

California State University Long Beach

University of California Los Angeles

Universidad de las Americas

Continuing Education:

Dunedin Fine Arts Center

St. Petersburg College Clearwater Campus

Appalachian State University

During her careers in mental health as a Dance Therapist and later as a University Administrator, she produced art independently. When time and circumstances allowed she was able to focus primarily on making art.

Janet loves life and the process of creating and sharing imagination.
